Pinnacle Bank Championship Looking for Volunteers for 2024
May 31, 2024
The Korn Ferry Tour’s Pinnacle Bank Championship is looking for volunteers in the Omaha area for the 8th annual event.
The Pinnacle Bank Championship presented by Woodhouse is seeking volunteers to support this year’s Korn Ferry Tour stop in Omaha. It‘s an opportunity to contribute to our community while helping local charities. The Pinnacle Bank Championship will be held from August 5 to 11, 2024 at The Club at Indian Creek.
“It’s a first-class event. I tell people I don’t know what I expected the first year of the tournament, but that is way more than that. The PGA Tour puts on a professional tournament and you feel that by volunteering. You feel proud to be part of the event and to be part of that organization. It’s such a neat event,” said Brad Bauer, Pinnacle Bank employee and seven-time Pinnacle Bank Championship Volunteer.
Volunteers play a vital role in the success of the tournament, offering valuable behind-the-scenes experience and unique viewing opportunities. Whether you are a golf enthusiast or new to the sport, there’s something for everyone. Volunteer positions include marshals, off-course, volunteer headquarters, standard bearers and product distribution.
“As a volunteer, I think you need to evaluate what you think fits your personality. Are you someone who wants to work off-course, where you greet people when they come in and check their tickets? Do you want to work in volunteer headquarters where you help all the volunteers? Do you want to be out on the grounds, keeping the grounds up, making sure that not only the course but the spectating areas are good for all our spectators? Are you like someone like me? I would say I want to be inside the ropes. I want to help the golfers being part of the tournament itself. It’s such a wide range of opportunities that no matter what your passion is, you’ll find something there that you’ll enjoy doing,” said Bauer.
Each year, hundreds of volunteers help manage the event, allowing the Pinnacle Bank Championship to make significant charitable contributions to local non-profits. By volunteering, you will be instrumental in helping to support organizations like the First Tee of Omaha, Completely Kids, EPIC for girls and many more. The Pinnacle Bank Championship has contributed more than $828,000 to local children’s charities.
“Volunteering at the Pinnacle Bank Championship helps to make a real difference for local charities, allowing us to continue to give back to provide local charities with the support and resources required to carry out their valuable work,” said Pinnacle Bank Championship Tournament Director, Jessica Brabec.
