Pinnacle Bank Championship Selected to Host Korn Ferry Tour Regular Season Finale

November 17, 2020

GOLF Channel to air all four days of competition.

The Korn Ferry Tour today announced that the Pinnacle Bank Championship presented by Aetna will serve as the Tour’s Regular Season finale with 25 PGA TOUR cards being awarded after the final round of competition. The event is set to be contested August 9-15, 2021 with all four rounds airing live on GOLF Channel. In addition, the tournament announced a five-year extension with title sponsor Pinnacle Bank through 2025.

As the final event of the Tour’s Regular Season, the top 25 players on the Korn Ferry Tour points list following the conclusion of the final round will be awarded their PGA TOUR cards for the 2021-22 season at The Club at Indian Creek. Previous Pinnacle Bank Championship winners Sam Ryder and Kris Ventura both received their cards after winning in Omaha, and are currently competing on TOUR.

“We are thrilled to be the Regular Season finale on the 2021 schedule and for the next five years,” said Tournament Director, Jessica Brabec. “Thanks to the backing of the Support Nebraska Board, Pinnacle Bank, our community, sponsors, partners and volunteers, we have built one of the premier stops on the Tour schedule. We’re honored to continue hosting the game’s rising stars and it’s exciting to know Omaha will now be synonymous with players reaching their dreams of making the PGA TOUR.”

The Pinnacle Bank Championship also announced a five-year extension for its title sponsor, Pinnacle Bank. Pinnacle Bank has been the title sponsor since the inaugural event in 2017. The extension runs through 2025.

“Pinnacle Bank is excited to extend our title sponsorship of the Pinnacle Bank Championship for an additional five years, through the 2025 event,” said Pinnacle Bank President, Marc Hock. “We are proud to keep this event in Omaha and to continue to benefit local charities and our community.”

GOLF Channel, the PGA TOUR’s official television partner for the Korn Ferry Tour, will broadcast all four days of the Championship starting in 2021.

“Indian Creek has proven to be a challenging course and we look forward to seeing the best on the Korn Ferry Tour contend for their PGA TOUR cards,” said course co-owner, Bill Gottsch. “We’re excited to show off the course nationally.”

The Championship and its placement on national television is not only the bookend for the Korn Ferry Tour, but also for an exciting summer in Omaha. The postponed NCAA Volleyball Championship will be played and on national television in April, followed by the College World Series, USA Olympic Swim Trials and the U.S. Senior Open.

Next week, the Pinnacle Bank Championship presented by Aetna and Support Nebraska are awarding a donation to their benefitting charity, Children’s Hospital Foundation
