Meet Amelia Hansen; Pinnacle Bank Championship’s Director of Operations and Events

June 12, 2024

Omaha Native Amelia Hansen has been named the Pinnacle Bank Championship’s Director of Operations and Events. She graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a degree in Hospitality, Restaurant and Tourism Management. While studying at UNL, she had the opportunity of a lifetime to work at the Masters Tournament in 2018 through the university’s hospitality program. That experience exposed her to the excitement and challenges of managing high-profile events.

“I worked in one of the hospitality suites, it was a complete whirlwind, the greatest experience ever, working crazy, crazy hours and just being exposed to that side of golf. I remember while I was there wondering, how do they put this together? How did they pull this off and just loving the atmosphere of it. I wanted to be a part of something like that and the team that creates that,” said Hansen.

For the past six years, Hansen has grown in her career as an event coordinator. In her new role at the Pinnacle Bank Championship, she will oversee vendor coordination, tournament infrastructure, hospitality and events.

“I am so excited to join the Pinnacle Bank Championship team,” said Hansen. “Golf is a huge part of my life and I am excited to bring my passion and experience to this role. I look forward to working with the team to create an event that celebrates the spirit of golf and brings joy to our community.”

Hansen’s love for golf is deeply personal. She was introduced to the game by her dad and she loves to spend time with her family at the Fremont Golf Club. Her deep love for golf makes her genuinely excited about her new role, where she’s committed to creating an amazing experience for both the players and the fans.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Hansen loves to travel. She studied abroad in Ireland during college. Her next adventure? She hopes to embark on an African safari to see gorillas!
