The Pinnacle Bank Championship’s Impact on Local Charities
June 22, 2023
The Pinnacle Bank Championship continues its tradition of positively impacting multiple charities and nonprofits within the region
Over the past few years, the Pinnacle Bank Championship has contributed over $620,000 to local charities in and surrounding the Omaha area.
The Pinnacle Bank Championship, Omaha’s premier golf event, has once again demonstrated its commitment to giving back to the community, showcasing how sports can be a powerful catalyst for positive change. The tournament, held at The Club at Indian Creek, has successfully impacted numerous charities and made a significant difference in the lives of those in need throughout Omaha, Nebraska.
Since its inception, the Pinnacle Bank Championship has consistently focused on creating a platform that not only showcases exceptional golf talent but also serves as a force for good. The event has been instrumental in generating substantial support for local charities, enabling them to continue their vital work in the community.
One of the beneficiaries of this support is The First Tee of Omaha, a youth development program that supports the youth of Omaha and teaches long-lasting life lessons through the game of golf. The nonprofit youth development organization helps thousands of kids in the Omaha area. Program Director Taylor Sidzyik of The First Tee of Omaha has seen firsthand how impactful the Pinnacle Bank Championship has been for the youth.
“Without Pinnacle Bank and The Pinnacle Bank Championship, these programs don’t exist. Because of people like Jessica [Brabec] and her staff, we are able to provide more awesome experiences to the kids in our program.”
When asked about the importance of the Pinnacle Bank Championship’s impact on nonprofits and charities in the region, Sidzyik said “the Pinnacle Bank Championship understands the importance of today’s youth. They help us in our efforts to impact and develop youth through the game of golf. The First Tee of Omaha, which was formerly Hogan’s Heros, has always been focused on the kids, and the Pinnacle Bank Championship supports that wholeheartedly.”
The tournament’s commitment to empowering local charities is reflected in its ongoing partnerships with several prominent nonprofit organizations. The Pinnacle Bank Championship has forged meaningful relationships with organizations such as TeamMates Mentoring Program, Children’s Hospital & Medical Center Foundation, PGA REACH Foundation and more. Through these relationships, the tournament has helped amplify the missions of these organizations, enabling them to expand their reach and positively impact the lives of countless individuals.
In addition to its charitable partnerships, the Pinnacle Bank Championship actively engages the community by involving local volunteers, businesses and residents in the event. This inclusive approach fosters a sense of unity and collective responsibility toward making Omaha a better place for all.
The success of the Pinnacle Bank Championship in supporting local charities would not have been possible without the unwavering commitment and generosity of its sponsors, volunteers, players and the Omaha community at large. Their collective efforts have truly exemplified the spirit of giving back and demonstrated the transformative power of sports in creating positive change.
